The Star of Bethlehem Cross Stitch Pattern - Edward Burne-Jones

This fine-art downloadable cross stitch design was developed from the 1890 watercolor painting, The Star of Bethlehem, by artist Edward Burne-Jones. The Corporation of Birmingham commissioned Burne-Jones to paint a large and detailed painting representing the Adoration of the Magi for the Municipal Museum and Art Gallery. Burnes-Jones accepted the commission and titled the painting The Star of Bethlehem. This is a large and highly detailed watercolor painting with beautiful colors borrowed from medieval tapestry. It was the largest watercolor of the 19th century, and was first exhibited at the New Gallery, London, in the spring of 1891 before being sent to the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery where it remains.

This pattern has to be one of the most beautiful cross stitch patterns I have in my collection. I can't wait to work on this, but it might be a while before I get to this one. I just absolutely beautiful
