Stitch this masterpiece! This cross stitch design was created from a gorgeous piece of art by Charles Demuth, it’s his most famous painting. He was inspired by a friend’s (William Carlos William) poem, “The Great Figure” when he watched a fire engine streak past him on a Manhattan street while he was visiting Marsden Hatley, another friend.
