Dance Class at the Opera is a beautiful painting done in 1872 by French artist Edgar Degas; and this fine-art cross stitch design was developed from that painting. Degas was a regular patron of the Paris Opera House and often visited backstage in the dance studio. His favorite subjects were ballerinas at work, in rehearsal or at rest. This painting resides at Musée D'Orsay in Paris, France.
