This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, Cirio, was developed from a poster created by Leonetto Cappiello (the Father of the Modern Poster) in 1921. It is the first of two posters done by Cappiello for Cirio, a Naples-based producer of canned fruits. This poster is bursting with ripeness and color, exhibiting fruits and vegetables that surround a beautiful woman. Cappiello's powerful image fostered a strong emotional connection to this product.
