This advanced fine-art cross stitch design, Bar at the Folies-Bergère, was developed from a painting done in 1882 by French artist Edouard Manet who is defined forever as one of the world's greatest artists. It depicts a scene at the Folies-Bergère nightclub in Paris and is rich in details. The woman at the bar was a real person named Suzon who worked at the Folies-Bergère in the early 1880s. This painting resides at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.
