The Lake at Annecy was painted in July of 1896 by French Post-Impressionist artist Paul Cézanne at Tallories in the foot hills of the French Alps. This fine-art cross stitch design was developed from this painting, showing the vibrant color and monumental structure of this beautiful area. In this painting we clearly see what Cézanne meant when he said the artist must "treat nature by means of the cylinder, the sphere, the cone." This painting resides at the Courtauld Institute Galleries in London.
