This is a fine art, advanced cross-stitch design of Edgar Degas' painting At the Milliners. It's a peek at life in the 1800s. The original painting resides at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (Spain). Degas is best known as an Impressionist artist, and his favorite subject was the study of gestures and poses of human figures in interior settings. Although Degas did paint some landscapes, he thought of this as a minor subject. He initially considered himself a "realist" painter but later adopted the term "impressionist."
